Our concrete arrives different: Impede® IntraSeal, an integral water-repellent admixture, is batched into the mix at the ready-mix plant. It reacts chemically with the cement itself, so the water protection runs through the entire slab — every inch, top to bottom, active from day one.

Water is what kills Michigan concrete — it soaks in, freezes, expands, and pries the slab apart winter after winter. Road salt and brine ride in with it and make everything worse. Because the repellent is bonded through the full depth of the pour, there's no coating to wear off in the tire path and reapply every few years — the protection is the concrete.
It's non-chloride and non-corrosive, so it's kind to the steel inside your slab — and it meets ASTM C494 Type S standards for set time, strength and durability, meaning the mix pours and performs like the concrete we've trusted for decades.

Do you remove my old driveway?
Yes. Removal, haul-away and disposal of the existing concrete is part of the job, along with proper base preparation before the new pour. You don't arrange anything separately.
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
Standard residential driveways are poured at four inches over a compacted base, with thicker sections where heavier vehicles sit. We set the thickness and any reinforcement to the loads your driveway actually carries.
