Stamped Concrete in Metro Detroit
The look of natural stone, slate or brick — in one solid, low-maintenance pour, with custom patterns, colors and borders.
Stamped Concrete Across Metro Detroit
Stamped concrete gives you the high-end look of natural stone, brick or slate without the joints, weeds and shifting of pavers. Concrete Impressions has been laying decorative stamped work across Metro Detroit since 1989 — patios, pool decks, walkways and driveways pressed with realistic patterns and colored to match your home.
Because it's one continuous slab, stamped concrete is far easier to maintain than pavers and far more durable than it looks. We pour over a properly prepped base, integrally color and pattern the surface, add decorative borders, and seal it to bring out the color and protect against Michigan's freeze-thaw. Resealing every few years keeps it looking new.
Where Stamped Concrete Earns Its Keep

Stone Looks, Slab Strength
The texture and lines of natural stone in one continuous pour — no joints to shift, no pieces to re-level.

Resort Look at Home
Stamped textures with the right sealer additive keep the deck looking high-end without getting slick.

Curb Appeal That Lasts
Full stamped drives or stamped border bands that make a standard driveway read custom from the street.

Ashlar, Slate, Brick & More
Pattern and color combos matched to your brick, siding and stone so it looks designed, not picked from a catalog.

The Look of Stone, Without the Joints.
Stamped concrete gets its color from integral color and release worked into the surface — depth that reads like real stone instead of paint on grey. Then the pattern gets pressed while the pour sits in a narrow window of workability.
That window is the whole game. Stamp too early and the pattern smears; too late and it won't take. After 37 years of reading concrete, we know exactly when a slab is ready — and that's why our patterns stay crisp corner to corner.

Integral color plus antiquing release — not a coating that wears off in the traffic path.
No Shifting, No Weeds
Everything pavers promise without the joints that sink, heave and sprout every spring.
Sealed for Winter
Sealer systems chosen for freeze-thaw and salt exposure, with grip additive where it's needed.
Patterns for Any Home
Ashlar slate, running brick, random stone and more — matched to your home's materials.
Our Most-Poured Stamped Concrete Colors
Stamped concrete gets its color from pigment batched into the mix itself — integral color by Solomon Colors ColorFlo® — plus an antiquing release that adds the second tone. These are the shades our Metro Detroit customers choose most:
Don't see the shade you're picturing? The ColorFlo line runs far deeper than what's shown here, and it evolves — this seafoam patio we poured in Grosse Pointe was a shade the line has since retired. Tell us the look you're after and we'll find the closest current match.

Stamped Concrete FAQs
Is stamped concrete cheaper than pavers?
Stamped concrete is usually more affordable to install than a comparable paver project and far cheaper to maintain over time — there are no joints to re-sand, no weeds, and no individual stones that settle and need resetting.
Does stamped concrete get slippery?
A textured stamp pattern actually adds grip versus smooth concrete. For pool decks we can also add a non-slip additive to the sealer for extra traction when wet.
How do I maintain stamped concrete?
Very little — rinse it off and reseal every two to three years to keep the color rich and the surface protected. We'll tell you exactly what product to use and when.
What patterns and colors can I get?
Ashlar slate, random stone, brick and more, in a wide range of integral and accent colors with optional contrasting borders. We'll bring options to your estimate so you can see them.
